Rising Kindergarteners and 1st Graders

SV-One begins our curriculum with many songs and games. Singers begin learning to recognize rhythms, and work with solfege using Curwen handsigns.

Singers may choose to join for a six-week class or for the full year. The six-week session will meet once a week from September through early November. Singers choosing the full year option will rehearse once a week from September through May. Towards the middle of October, singers who chose the six week option may choose to continue for the remainder of the year if they would like.

SV-One singers participate in two performances each year – a Winter Concert in January and a Spring Concert in May.

Please note: Kindergarteners must have turned five years old by the start of September.

Rehearsals will occur from 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm on Tuesdays in the Binkley Preschool wing of Binkley Baptist Church, 1712 Willow Drive, Chapel Hill.

COST:

– Six-week session only: $123 (A sliding scale is available.)

– Full year: $532 (A sliding scale is available.)

Families signing up for the six-week session will pay for the session in full upon registering and no refunds will be issued, barring extenuating circumstances.

Families signing up for the full year will pay a non-refundable deposit equal to the first and last month’s tuition upon signing up. Families may then choose to pay the remaining balance in full or to schedule monthly payments. If you choose pay in full, the remaining balance will be automatically drafted from your card on October 1st. If you choose to schedule monthly payments, your card will automatically be drafted on the first of the month from October through March.
